• Man arrested after short chase

    WARREN — The Washington County Sheriff’s Department says a Warren man led law enforcement on a pursuit after being pulled over Friday.

    Robert A. Hurwitz, 61, aka Robert Riversong, was driving on Route 100 when he was pulled over by the sheriff’s department for driving without a license. As a deputy was dealing with Hurwitz, the sheriff’s department says he fled the scene. Hurwitz drove to Waitsfield and then back to his residence in Warren, where after a brief altercation. He was cited for attempting to elude, negligent operation and resisting arrest.

    Hurwitz is to appear in Washington County criminal court to answer the charges, although a date was not released.
