     | October 19,2013

BARRE A Williamstown man has a December court date after allegedly admitting to police that he made a series of threatening phone calls.

State police said they cited 44-year-old Peter Benedini for disorderly conduct by phone on Thursday following an investigation into a complaint they received last Friday.

According to police, the complaint involved allegations that Benedini had repeatedly called Greg Breer, 41, of Marshfield and threatened him over the phone. Police say they spoke with Benedini and claim he admitted to threatening Breer over the phone and calling him several times after he was asked not to.

Benedini, who was cited by police for the crime, is scheduled to be arraigned at the criminal courthouse in Barre on Dec. 5.
