ORANGE — Vermont State Police say a camping trailer fire Sunday in Orange is considered suspicious.

The Barre Town Fire Department was called to an unoccupied camping trailer engulfed in flames Sunday morning on Bennetts Mill Road, according to state police.

The fire was put out that evening, and nobody was injured. State police say the trailer, owned by Gordon Kidder, 67, of Orange, was valued at around $1,000.

The Vermont State Police Fire Investigation Unit and an investigator with the Division of Fire Safety went to the scene to investigate.

State police say the fire investigation team has deemed the cause of the fire undetermined but suspicious.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 748-3111 or the arson tip line at 800-32-ARSON.
