    It was our money

For those Select Board members and citizens of Barre town who have some angst about honoring Sen. Jim Jeffords by putting his name on a plaque on the new Bridge Street bridge, it would relieve their anguish if the plaque read like this: “Funds for this bridge procured by Vermont Sen. Jim Jeffords are now a part of our $17 trillion national debit. Thanks, Jim!” Political turncoat Jim Jeffords was just doing what every good Democrat does, and that is to run up we the taxpayers’ national credit card. It wasn’t Jim’s money, it was our, the taxpayers’, hard-earned money.
