    Rickey A. Burns Rites

    BARRE — The memorial service celebrating the life of Rickey Allen Burns, 52, of Plain Street, was held on Friday, October 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre. He died Friday, October 4, 2013, at his home.

    The Rev. Deborah Laporte, pastor of the Williamstown United Federated Church, officiated and led the congregation in the hymn, “Amazing Grace.” The song, “Knock, Knock, Knocking On Heaven’s Door,” was also played.

    Family remembrances were given by Rev. Laporte. Reflections were offered by son-in-law, James Sayers; half-sister, Dottie Cadorette; and friend, James Hill.

    Following the service, family and friends gathered at Lisa Burns’ home for a time of fellowship.
