    Make Congress pay

I have to speak out against what is taking place in Washington today. The shutting down of our government is affecting millions of people. In my opinion the members of Congress should bear the brunt of their actions.

    1. Their salaries should be stopped.

    2. They should forfeit their travel pay.

    3. They should forfeit any other benefits they receive as members of Congress.

    4. They should not be reimbursed for these benefits for the period of this shutdown.

I suggest some of these people walk in the shoes of a few working poor and people unable to function because of illnesses or other overwhelming conditions. A large share of the people in Congress could pay for whatever is wrong with them without any insurance.

Give Obamacare/the Affordable Care Act a chance now. It’s the law.
