BARRE — Five Granite City destinations will host what amounts to concurrent open houses on Wednesday as part of what’s being billed as a “culture crawl.”

The organizations, all members of the Barre Cultural Alliance, are inviting folks to swing by and check them out starting at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Four of the five — the Aldrich Public Library, the Barre Opera House, Studio Place Arts, and the Vermont History Center — will be welcoming guests from 3 to 7 p.m., while the Old Labor Hall on Granite Street will be open from 3 to 6 p.m.

“Passports” for the culture crawl will be available and will entitle holders to one-time specials at two local restaurants. The Quarry Grill & Tavern will be offering Wednesday diners who have passports 10 percent off their tab, while the Cornerstone Pub & Kitchen will be serving a two-course dinner special for $15 between 4 and 6 p.m.
