    Staff Report

BURLINGTON - A Vermont couple charged with killing a St. Johnsbury Academy science teacher last year entered not guilty pleas to new charges of kidnapping and conspiracy to commit murder.

Allen and Patricia Prue of Waterford were in Caledonia Superior Court Monday, where they were ordered by a judge to have no contact with one another. Patricia Prue also pleaded not guilty to eight new counts of possession of child pornography related to images on a laptop computer she alleged owned.

The Prues are being held without bond on charges they killed 33-year-old Melissa Jenkins in March of 2012. Prosecutors say they lured Jenkins from her Danville home, strangled her and dumped her body in the Connecticut River.
