    Stop it

To Speaker Boehner and his minions in Congress: You don’t represent “the American people.” Stop saying that you do.

You represent a distinct minority of the American people who share your contempt for the president and the Affordable Care Act. But, last time I checked, we live in a democracy where the will of the majority ruled unless that will conflicts with certain protections afforded by our Constitution.

The Affordable Care Act passed both houses of Congress. You and yours challenged it in the courts, and it was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States.

It is the law of the land. You don’t like it. I get that. So repeal it. You’ve tried to do that more than 40 times. Try again.

You don’t have a line item veto. Stop acting like you do.
