    Driver cited on license charge

    MIDDLESEX — A Vergennes man with a criminally suspended license was stopped by state police on Interstate 89 late Sunday morning after he allegedly did an illegal U-turn not far from the Montpelier exit.

    Police said they cited Ryan Carpentier, 35, for driving with a suspended license after pulling him over for the U-turn shortly after 11 a.m. Carpentier is scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County criminal court in Barre on Nov. 21.
