NORTH TROY — Vermont police are investigating what they are describing as the untimely death of a 19-day-old girl in North Troy.

Police were called early Monday after receiving reports the infant, later identified as Paitlynn Willey, was not breathing.

The infant was taken to North Country Hospital in Newport, where she was pronounced dead.

The baby’s body was taken to the office of the chief medical examiner in Burlington for an autopsy.
