MORETOWN — A 23-year-old woman was killed in an early Sunday morning crash on River Road, according to police.
Vermont State Police said Brittany Campbell, of Moretown, appeared to be traveling north on River Road when her 2001 Subaru Forester went off the roadway on a right hand curve. Police said the car had extensive front end damage after leaving the roadway and striking a ledge head-on.
A passerby located the car off the road and found Campbell unconscious inside. Campbell was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin where she was pronounced dead.
Campbell was not wearing a seat belt, according to police.
