• Don’t tell Germany

    Is solar viable? Can’t use it in Alaska, can’t use it in northern regions, can’t ... can’t ... can’t.

    Distributed power production is upon us. Base load power producers just don’t get it. The music industry didn’t understand Napster either.

    Then there is this from Germany:

    “In July, the grey-skied country logged 5.1 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity from solar power, slightly better than the 5 TWh of electricity generated by wind turbines it produced in January.”

    There is a myth that, engineering-wise, bumble bees can’t fly, they just don’t know it. I guess Germany just doesn’t know solar doesn’t work.
