    A near-miss

On Aug. 31, my son, his wife and two children were traveling from Montpelier to Johnson around 3:20 p.m. Approximately three or four miles north of Worester they came around a curve to find a young man in a black, or dark blue, sporty car in their lane. The driver was passing two vehicles. His vehicle hit my son’s car on the driver’s side front fender, ripping off the mirror and breaking the windshield, forcing my son’s car into the guardrail.

The young driver left the scene. The two cars he was passing didn’t stop, either. If anyone knows this young driver, who was wearing a dark baseball cap, and has front end or driver’s side damage to his car (may have red paint residue on it), please contact me at 802-479-0653.

Fortunately, my son and his family had only minor injuries, but it could have been much worse. Names of those responding will be kept confidential. Thank you for any assistance you may provide.
