Teenager cited in Plainfield home invasion
PLAINFIELD — Vermont State Police say an Essex Junction teen broke into a Plainfield home early Tuesday.
State police say Philip Hoeppner, 64, was at home on Cameron Road when he heard a noise inside his house. When Hoeppner yelled to see what the noise was, he heard a loud crash and the door to his residence opening. State police say a passer-by told Hoeppner a male juvenile had been seen running from the house into a wooded area.
Police say items had been tampered with and a piece of jewelry taken.
The juvenile was later found with the assistance of police dogs and cited on a burglary charge.
The teen, whose name has not been released, is to be arraigned in Washington County criminal court in Barre on Oct. 17.MORE IN This Just InHONOLULU (AP) — A group of Hawaii musicians and a Hawaiian Airlines flight attendant provided... Full Story
