BARRE — The Vermont Historical Society is accepting registrations for the 2013-2014 series of “History for Homeschoolers” workshops.

The monthly classes are designed for home-schooled students ages 6 to 12 and make use of museum collections to explore Vermont history through hands-on activities. This year’s classes spotlight a variety of themes including presidents from Vermont and Vermont myths and legends.

Participants can choose either the Wednesday or Thursday afternoon classes, typically the second week of each month. Classes run from 1 to 3 p.m. The first five sessions, September through January, will take place at the Vermont History Museum in Montpelier. The remaining four sessions, February through May, will take place at the Vermont History Center in Barre.

The first sessions will be Sept. 11 and 12.
