    Dorothy Shadroui Rites

    BARRE — A service of remembrance was held for Dorothy Shadroui, 91, of Franklin Street, on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at 8:30 p.m. at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre. She passed away on Aug. 9, 2013. Donna S. London, daughter, led the service. Richard Shadroui, brother-in-law, and Joseph Shadroui, a nephew, offered words of remembrance.

    Prerecorded songs were “All I Ask of You,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “As Time Goes By,” “The Way We Were” and “Music of the Night.”

    Burial was held on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Hope Cemetery in Barre, where daughters Donna S. London and Janet Shadroui read a poem, “Daffodils.”

    Hilary Cornet, daughter, read a poem, “The Soldier.” Phyllis Andrews, a niece, led the congregation in the song “Morning Has Broken.”

    Following the burial, family and friends gathered at her son’s home, Geoffrey Shadroui in East Montpelier, for a time of fellowship and refreshments.

    Arrangements were in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., Barre.
