MONTPELIER — The Vermont Public Interest Research Group is hailing what it calls its most successful summer canvass ever.
The consumer and environmental advocacy group goes door to door every summer, usually focusing on one main issue, and does fundraising and recruiting of new members.
At an event Thursday in Montpelier, VPIRG leaders said they had reached every city, town, grant and gore in Vermont for the first time ever this year.
