• Barre teen accused of driving under influence

    BERLIN — A Barre teen has been cited on a charge of driving under the influence.

    Police were called to a reported one-car accident Monday on Addison Drive, where they said they found William McWhinney, 18, to be the driver.

    He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Aug. 15 to answer the charge.
