• Montpelier woman faces DUI charge

    BARRE — The Washington County Sheriff’s Department says a Montpelier resident has been cited on suspicion of driving under the influence.

    Noela M. Rybacka, 26, was pulled over Friday on North Main Street in Barre for a defective exhaust system. The sheriff’s department says an investigation determined Rybacka was driving under the influence. According to the department, she had a blood alcohol content of 0.213 percent, well above the legal threshold to drive.

    Rybacka will appear in Washington County criminal court at an unspecified date to answer the charge.
