BARRE — A Granite City teenager has admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old girl in Barre in 2011.

Dustin Dunkling, 19, pleaded guilty to felony lewd and lascivious conduct with a child in Washington County criminal court Friday. He has agreed to a sentence of three to 15 years, all suspended except one year, pending the completion of a presentence investigation.

According to the police affidavit, the girl told police that Dunkling had raped her and slapped her during the incident in August 2011 after he had pushed her off her bike near Bugbee Avenue.

When questioned by police, Dunkling initially denied anything took place between him and the girl, but eventually admitted to having consensual sex with her.
