• Man cited following crash

    MARSHFIELD ó Vermont State Police say a Barre resident was drunk when the person crashed on Brook Road in Marshfield on Tuesday evening.

    State police say Naphtali M. Schumacher, 28, crossed into the opposite lane and veered off the road.

    Schumacher was not injured and was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. State police say the 2003 Buick Rendezvous that Schumacher was driving had heavy damage to the driverís side front wheel and bumper.

    Schumacher is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Aug. 8 to answer the charge of driving under the influence.
