• Vermont Secretary of State gets national post

    MONTPELIER — Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos has been elected to an office with the National Association of Secretaries of State.

    During a meeting over the weekend Condos was chosen to be the group’s Eastern Region vice president and he will sit on the group’s executive board.

    Condos says he’s excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with other secretaries of state on initiatives affecting elections and voting, state business services, and digital archiving.

    The association is a national organization of secretaries of state and lieutenant governors. The organization works to promote the exchange of information between states and it works to enhance cooperation in the development of public policy.
