• Vermont edges Holyoke 5-4

    HOLYOKE, Mass. — The Vermont Mountaineers scored three runs in the top of the ninth to earn a come-from-behind 5-4 New England Collegiate Baseball League win over Holyoke on Wednesday night on the road.

    Joey Graziano earned the win for Vermont, pitching the final two innings with no hits, no walks and three strikeouts.

    Henry Van Zant took the loss, also in relief, after starter Jordan Kutzer left with a 4-2 lead in the seventh inning.

    Chandler Brock and Mike Vigliarolo each had two hits and an RBI for the Mountaineers, with Brock roping a triple.

    Holyoke’s Jacob Bruce also had a triple and two RBI.

    Vermont improves to 18-10 with a 2˝-game lead on Keene atop the Western Division, while Holyoke drops to 13-16.

    The Mountaineers play another at Keene tonight before returning home for a two-game homestand against Keene and New Bedford on Friday and Saturday evenings.
