• C-SPAN founder to speak in Vermont

    PLYMOUTH — The founder of C-SPAN will present the keynote address at the Coolidge Foundation’s annual gala on Aug. 2.

    The gala, which includes the championship round of the New England High School Debate Competition, begins at 5:30 p.m. and is held at the President Coolidge Museum and Education Center in Plymouth.

    Keynote speaker Brian Patrick Lamb is the founder, former executive chairman, and now retired CEO of C-SPAN, the cable television network that provides live coverage of Congress as well as other public affairs events. Known for his unique interviewing style, focusing on short, direct questions, Lamb is the recipient of such awards as the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Humanities Medal.
