     | July 16,2013

BARRE Police say a Granite City man stole around $1,300 from The Quarry Bar and Grill on July 6.

Shawn Braley, 30, was cited for burglary after police say he entered the business through an access door on the roof and took the money from the register. Police say Braley is a former employee of the restaurant.

When interviewed, Braley admitted to the crime saying he needed the money to cover a drug debt, according to police.

He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Thursday to answer the charge.
