MONTPELIER — A 20-year-old Colchester man suffered minor injuries when he rolled his car over on Interstate 89 near Montpelier early Monday, state police said.

The driver, Eric Sherman, was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police said Sherman told them he was traveling north through heavy fog when his vehicle hydroplaned and he entered the median strip, overturning the vehicle, which landed on its roof in the southbound lane.

Sherman’s 2009 Toyota sedan was totaled in the accident, police said. He was wearing his seat belt.
