WARREN — Vermont State Police say a Moretown man has been cited for driving under the influence.

Robert Lynch, 32, was driving on West Hill Road when state police say he drove his vehicle into a ditch. State police arrived on the scene, but were unable to locate Lynch, so they arranged for the vehicle to be removed.

A resident contacted state police to say Lynch had come out of the woods and returned to his vehicle. State police returned to the vehicle and after an investigation cited Lynch for driving under the influence.

He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court July 18 to answer the charge.
