• Armory to be turned into hotel in Burlington

    BURLINGTON - A former armory in Burlington, Vt., is being turned into a hotel.

    A developer has started building a Hilton Garden Inn at the corner of Pine and Main streets in the city.

    Erik Hoekstra of Redstone, the developer, says the armory is the last and final piece of redevelopment of a city block.

    Redstone told WCAX-TV it hopes to have the 141-room hotel ready by fall of next year.
