    Lea L. Roux

    NORTHFIELD — Lea Louise Roux, 79, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at Rowan Court Nursing Home in Barre City.

    She was born in South Barre on Dec. 2, 1933, the daughter of Ernest and Genevieve (Stacy) Spencer.

    She attended South Barre and Williamstown schools.

    On Feb. 6, 1954, she married Eugene Richard Roux at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Williamstown.

    She had worked for Sprague Capacitor Plant in Barre for several years.

    She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Northfield, and St. Edward’s Church in Williamstown.

    She enjoyed knitting, crochet, puzzles, collecting glass chickens and spending time with her grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband, Eugene Roux; three children, Dianna Dickinson, Gary Roux and his wife Mary, and James Roux and his wife Shelly, all of Northfield; six grandchildren, Shawn and Keith Dickinson, Jenny Allen, Ellen Downs, Tracy and Aaron Roux; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Erin Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

    She is predeceased by two sisters, Virginia Hale and Jessie Goodall.

    In keeping with her wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Rowan Court Activity Fund, 375 Prospect St., Barre City, VT 05641.

    Kingston Funeral Home in Northfield assisted with the arrangements.
