• Books and brew come together

    MONTPELIER — The Kellogg-Hubbard Library will kick of its annual summer book sale with a beer garden tonight from 6 to 9 p.m.

    For an admission fee of $10, visitors will receive a picnic dinner created by the Hunger Mountain Coop Deli and Cafe. The Summit School of Traditional Music and Culture will be providing live music for the event, and thirsty patrons can buy beer and wine from the Skinny Pancake for $6, with $1 from each sale benefiting the library.

    Hardcover books are being sold for $2 apiece and soft covers are only $1; mass market paperbacks are 50 cents.

    You must be 21 years or older to enter the beer garden.
