    Local stores help Jimmy Fund

Aubuchon customers can help families fight cancer by contributing $1 to the Jimmy Fund through the A Chance for Kids & Families program.

Aubuchon customers can make a donation through July 7. The program’s goal is to raise more than $1 million for adult and pediatric cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Aubuchon stores in Brandon, Fair Haven and Rutland are participating

Old Navy in the Diamond Run Mall is participating through the end of June.

For each contribution, customers will receive a promotion card guaranteed to be a winner with prizes ranging from an all-inclusive trip from TNT Vacations Powered by Funjet Vacations, American Airlines miles, theme park tickets, as well as prizes from Aubuchon Hardware, Old Navy and Burger King.

Now in its 14th year, A Chance for Kids & Families program has raised more than $11.6 million to help fund adult and pediatric cancer research and care at Dana-Farber. The innovative research benefits cancer patients in New England as well as patients around the world.

Old Navy and Aubuchon Hardware stores in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Connecticut are part of this year’s program.

Burger King restaurants will also be participating starting in late July.

Family-owned Aubuchon Hardware operates more than 120 stores throughout New England and upstate New York, as well as an online store.
