    Randall E. Luce Rites

    BARRE — The funeral service and celebration of life for Randall E. “Randy” Luce, 83, of Bridgeman Street, was held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre. He passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center.

    The Rev. David Vanderlinde-Abernathy, pastor of the Barre Congregational Church, led the service.

    Interment took place in the Hope Cemetery in Barre, with the Rev. Vanderlinde-Abernathy offering the committal prayers.

    The bearers were nephews Ron Graves Jr., David Jones, Brian Ward and Calvin Ward.

    Military honors were accorded Randy by the Vermont Army National Guard. Members of the honor guard played taps and performed the flag folding ceremony. The flag was presented to Randy’s wife, Betty Luce.

    Following the committal service, family and friends gathered at the Hilltop Restaurant on Quarry Hill for a time of sharing and a luncheon.
