BERLIN — A Barre man has been cited on charges of retail theft and trespassing.

Adam M. Rice, 32, was cited Tuesday after police say he took off into the woods after taking something from Wal-Mart in Berlin. Police say Rice came out of the woods a short time later and was pointed out by several motorists to police.

Rice is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court July 25 to answer the charges.
