Lewd conduct with young child brings guilty plea
BARRE — An East Montpelier man has admitted making a young female relative perform oral sex on him around 2005.
Justin Butler, 34, pleaded guilty Friday to felonious lewd and lascivious conduct in Washington County criminal court in Barre. He agreed to a plea deal of one to five years, all suspended except six months, but will not be sentenced until a pre-sentence investigation is complete.
A charge of felonious lewd and lascivious conduct with a child was dismissed as part of the plea.
According to the police affidavit, which Butler admitted was factual in his guilty plea, he would play a game with the girl when she was around 5 or 6 years old in which Butler would blindfold her and say he would give her a “taste test” by putting something into her mouth and telling her not to bite it. When the girl was 10 years old, she told her mother about the game and said she thought Butler was putting his penis in her mouth.
The girl also said there was a time when she was sitting on Butler’s lap and he rubbed his penis on her arm.
Butler has previous convictions of simple assault in 2007, leaving the scene of an accident in 2005 and driving while under the influence in 2002.MORE IN This Just InCASTLETON — Rutland Post 31 pitcher Andy Kenosh called it “mojo.
