    Many thanks for art project

On Thursday more than 100 central Vermonters attended Central Vermont Council on Aging’s opening reception for “The Art of Creative Aging,” an annual exhibit of work by older visual artists (70-plus) living in Washington, Lamoille and Orange counties. The art will hang at Kellogg-Hubbard Library throughout the month of May and is available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the artist, Central Vermont Council on Aging and the library.

We want to thank those who contributed to the success of the event including our sponsors: Capitol Copy, Hunger Mountain Coop, RavenMark, Montpelier Pharmacy and Hannaford Supermarket; Kellogg-Hubbard Library’s staff; CVCOA staff and board members; and our jurors Linda Mirabile, Adelaide Tyrol and David Schütz.

We are especially grateful to the 27 inspiring and talented artists who exemplify the powerful influence of creativity on healthy aging.
