• Hazen goes into lockdown
     | May 04,2013

HARDWICK Police say Hazen Union School was locked down Friday after police were notified that a student on a bus had a gun.

After an investigation, police said there was no gun but that they had learned shotgun shells had been located on the bus earlier in the week.

Police said the lockdown was a result of a miscommunication over the shotgun shells.

    The school was reopened.
