• Police: Rt. 2 crash injures both drivers

    EAST MONTPELIER — Vermont State Police say the injuries suffered by both drivers in a head-on collision Monday afternoon in East Montpelier are not life-threatening.

    State police sent an email around 1 p.m. Monday saying Route 2 was closed due to a car accident and sent another email at 1:50 p.m. saying the road was open again.

    State police say the crash snapped a power pole and that both drivers were taken to Central Vermont Medical Center.

    The names of the drivers have not been released, and no other details were available. State police say the crash is under investigation.
