BARRE ó The 21st food drive by the National Association of Letter Carriers will take place May 11.

The association is looking for nonperishable food items. Donors can simply leave the bag of food next to their mailbox that morning or bring the food to their local post office.

All donations will be turned over to the local food shelf in the community where the food was donated.

According to the association, last year brought in more than 20,000 pounds of food from Washington, Orange, Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties.
