• Two hurt in moose accident

    DERBY — A driver and passenger have suffered some scrapes after their car collided with a moose on Interstate 91 in Derby.

    State police said the accident happened about 10:40 p.m. Sunday.

    The driver, 22-year-old Sarah Ethier of Sherbrooke, Quebec, and her passenger suffered minor injuries from broken windshield glass. Ethier was wearing a seat belt.

    The car’s front bumper, hood and roof also were damaged.

    The moose died.
