toxins at armory

ST. JOHNSBURY — The town of St. Johnsbury wants to examine evidence of carcinogenic toxins at the former armory.
The town and the nonprofit St. Johnsbury History and Heritage Center are teaming up to contract the study. The center is leasing the shuttered armory for a dollar and has an option to buy it.
The study will evaluate carcinogenic toxins called polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, in the armory’s basement floor paint.
The center is interested in setting up a museum of local artifacts there.MORE IN This Just InSOUTH BURLINGTON — The Police Department is trying to cope with some vacancies. Full StoryWHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Vermont’s only veterans hospital is going to be joining six other... Full Story
