    Fire crews respond to I-89 car blaze

    RANDOLPH — Vermont State Police say a Randolph man’s car caught fire on Interstate 89 Tuesday.

    David Kresock, 51, told police he was driving southbound when his 2009 Subaru Impreza stalled and the engine stopped working. Kresock pulled over, opened up the hood and saw flames coming from the engine.

    State Police say when firefighters arrived, the car was fully engulfed, and the southbound lane had to be temporarily shut down as the fire department worked to put the out the blaze.

    No one was injured and state police say the cause of the fire is unknown.
