WATERBURY — VT Food Swap is hosting the first of its monthly food swaps on Sunday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Waterbury Congregational Church.

Food swaps draw gardeners, foragers, hobby farmers, locavores, vegetarians and those with food sensitivities to exchange homemade or homegrown products and share information. Common items to swap include fresh herbs and vegetables, dried herbs, backyard eggs, pickled produce, vanilla extract, kombucha starters, baked goods, jams and home-roasted coffees.

Everyone who attends Sunday’s food swap will be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate to Hen of the Wood in Waterbury. Space is limited. Sign up online at vtfoodswapapril.eventbrite.com/. More information is available at the VT Food Swap Facebook page at www.facebook.com/VTFoodSwap?ref=hl.
