• Marijuana charge arises from traffic stop

    DUXBURY ó A Brookfield man has been cited by Vermont State Police on a charge of possessing marijuana.

    Bryant Keene, 23, was driving on Route 100 in Duxbury Monday night when state police pulled him over on suspicion of speeding. State police say that while talking with Keene, he said there may be contraband in the vehicle.

    State police say they searched the vehicle and found the marijuana. Keene is to appear in Washington County criminal court May 23 to answer the charge.
