• Berlin woman cited on DUI, cruelty
     | April 08,2013

MIDDLESEX A Berlin woman who police claim was caught driving under the influence over the weekend has more than the drunken driving charge to worry about.

According to police, Annika Green, 41, is also facing a cruelty to children charge stemming from the fact that there were two young children in the vehicle she was driving on Interstate 89 Saturday afternoon.

Police said the southbound vehicle driven by Green was pulled over in Middlesex shortly after they received a report it had been seen being driven erratically near Exit 10 in Waterbury.

After pulling Green over, police said, they arrested her on suspicion of DUI and cruelty to children. She was processed at the Middlesex barracks and released on a citation to appear at the criminal courthouse in Barre, according to police, who did not give a date for her arraignment.
