    Due diligence continues

The Orange and Washington Joint Contract Exploration Committee convened on March 25 to continue thoughtful discussion of the recent history of each school’s path to building a multi-tiered system for academic and behavior support and to review each school’s current position.

Theresa Wood, board member associated with the creation of the joint contract school collaboration between Duxbury and Waterbury, will speak at the next scheduled meeting. Ms. Wood will provide an overview of the joint contract process that took place in her community including but not limited to phases of exploration, implementation, outcome, and ongoing process management. The Orange and Washington Exploration Committee members & meeting attendees crafted a list of specific questions for Ms. Wood to provide guidance and feedback.

The next scheduled meeting will take place on Monday, April 8, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Washington Village School, 72 School Lane, Washington, Vt.

Meetings are open to the public, not only residents of each community. We encourage those interested in reviewing current progress to visit the Orange North Supervisory Union website (www.onsu.org/OCSWVS/JCC).
