• History forum set for April 17

    BARRE — A forum for undergraduate students around the state to share their research topics on Vermont History will be held at the Vermont History Center April 17.

    The Vermont Historical society is hosting the free forum beginning at 6 p.m.

    The presenters will include Deidre Miller of Middlebury College, speaking about her research into the temperance movement in Addison County during the 19th century. Ariel Mondlak of the University of Vermont will present her research about the “flower girls” who appeared at past Memorial Day parades in Brandon. Lyndon State College will be represented by Justin Pepe, who will present his research about the history of Vermont microbrews.
