BURLINGTON — Two Vermonters and two men from New York City are facing federal drug charges after investigators said they found 2,600 bags of heroin in a car they were in following a traffic stop on Interstate 89 in Williamstown.

The U.S. attorney’s office said Denzlie Boston and Willie E. Mayo, Jr., both from New York City, Thomas Savard of Milton and Samantha Freda of Winooski were in a car stopped Wednesday morning on their way back to the Burlington area from New York.

They were all charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin.
