    Thanks for the help

Many thanks to the Vermont State Police who responded to a dog running on Interstate 89 in the late afternoon on March 14.

Thanks also to the man in the pickup truck who helped in chasing the dog and who was finally able to restrain her with a leash. This enabled us to then transport her to the safety of a private kennel. Thankfully, she was wearing identification tags and her owner has been called. Readers, here is a lesson learned in the importance of using identification tags or microchips for your pets.

Because of the concerned individuals who were willing to get involved to help this dog, and the rapid response of the state police, her life was saved and a potential traffic accident on I-89 was avoided.
