MIDDLESEX — Vermont State Police are looking for information about guns possibly stolen from a home in Middlesex.

State police say Kevin Atwood, 21, of Waitsfield, went into a home and took several firearms. The resident returned home Tuesday morning and saw Atwood leaving his driveway and walking south down Route 100B, according to police. The homeowner told state police his residence was broken into and guns were stolen.

State police said they picked up Atwood in Waitsfield but he did not have the guns on him. Police said Atwood was driven to Waitsfield after leaving the home in Middlesex. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Middlesex barracks at 229-9191.

Atwood was cited on a charge of burglary and is to appear in Washington County criminal court May 16.
